It's 1030pm now and something suddenly hit me. I've realised something.. let me tell you guys a story....
Many years ago, a naive girl never thought of filling her heart with admiration towards someone special, she was overall contented with her life even though she was one of the least popular in class. She had never gotten any attention from anybody but she had always have good friends around her. She remembers that those days that the only reason that she gets attention was because her close friend was one of the most popular girl in the entire grade.
Her life remains intact until one day.. someone walked into her life without her knowing. She hardly pays attention to him except for the fact that he looks weird in short pants ( because he was too tall for his age).
She continued her daily life until one day when she was busy chatting away during a basketball game when he hit her head with the ball by accident. Her tears were flowing like water as the result of the hit on the head. She then remembers that his first words to her was "sorry". While she was too busy feeling her pain. She accepts the apology but never again she would forget this incident.
Days passed, she couldn't help but noticing him playing basketball. He was the admiration of all girls.. she was just one of them that he wouldn't look at twice.
One day during math class, her group of friends couldnt' understand the topic and decided to ask him, as he was just sitting right behind her. He kept on explaining and the girls kept on not understanding.. while she got bugged by her friends to speak to him, by chance he explained to her in very detail and make sures that she understands. Since then, being young kids in school, rumours starts going around that they are an item. Though the boy didn't seem like he cared as he was too busy being the popular one. The girl realised that she slowly can't help but noticing him. She remembers the short conversations they had, she was hoping for the possiblity he would look at her too..
While busy doing that, she hadn't notice that she had gotten unwanted attention in class. Not knowing the reason why girls were getting jealous even though she was not getting any sort of attention from him personally. She remembers that she was being badly bullied by those girls for a long time. No matter how hard she tries to forget and forgive them now, she finds it difficult.
She has done many silly things to catch his attention, but unfortunately she didn't get the attention. After primary school ended. She thought they would never meet again...
*months later*
Due to her falling sick, she only reported herself in high school a few days later. She saw him first when she was standing with her dad. In shock, not knowing that he was going to be in the same school, she hoped that he would not be in contact with her because she felt herself being embarassed enough previously.
Unfortunately, they were both in the same class. He was elected as the class monitor and she was being elected the head prefect of the afternoon session in school. They both were in communication again. He being as charming as he is, as usual, he became very popular again among his friends and her trying to keep her mind of remembering what she been through previously and yet can't help but noticing him.
Although she had gotten quite a few attention from the others, but she only looked his way and yet he was untouched. Though days passed and things remained the same she keeps her memories in her safe and sound...
A year later, her dad decided to move and the whole family left the suburb. She left and told him how she felt through all these years...
After having a crush on him for 4 years...They fell out of touch, out of contact.. lost in communication....
For years they've grown up to become the person they are today, they've met up a few times but nothing's changed except the fact that he knows how she felt for him previously. Thinking that everything moves on.. he led his own life and so did she....
Slowly when years passed, they've become good friends and he cared for her more than he did before. Every festive season he would visit her and she would do the same. They would take time to catch up with each other..
After high school, she dated somebody else, she fell in love all over again, she moved on...
After high school, he was his usual popular self being a very dashing young chap =)
Another year passed, she failed in her relationship being terribly heartbroken and he came along.. introducing his new girl to her first hand... she was initially dumbfounded but thinking that she did the same after high school, it was only natural for him to moved on...
Things seemed stagnant for years.. and the same ... except that they are both now close friends..
For almost 10 years since they've known each other, now they're both overseas studying... they suddenly got close.. they speak to each other almost every night online..
Prior to her 21st birthday, she received the first official gift from him, she suddenly remembered that this was all she was hoping for.. she was hoping for him to look at her, to care for her... she was very happy .. practically on cloud nine.
she felt that they've gotten even closer till she start to wonder whether she is finding the heartbeat that she once lost even the fact to her that he's already someone else's....
She sometimes find him confusing...
will there be an answer to all this ???
At the end of all this, there might be no answer to what had happened, what is going to happen but if given a chance, she would look at him once again .. because she knows that without having that experience and pain she went through, she wouldn't be the person who knows pain, she wouldn't be the person she is today...
She still wants to say thank you!
